webber 36/32 carb filter question???
Where the heck is the fuel filter on these carbs? Is the fuel filter on these carbureators when hooked up to a toyota 22r engine in the fuel line leading up to the carbureator? or is one of those ones where the fuel filter is actually inside the carbureator and I have to rip the fuel in line out and change the little filter. Please let me know if you know. Thanks-Sampson

i have a stock carb, 22r pickup 4x2.... there isnt a filter anywhere in the carb itself or anywhere up front of the truck.. the lines run to the mechanical fuel pump and stright to the carb....

trucks with mechanical fuel pumps('80 20R, and all 22R) had the fuel filter under the bed. carb doesn't matter, never heard of one with an integrated filter...

Thanks guys that helps a lot. I think I'll be replacing that soon. Not really cause I need to as it has only died on me twice in a week, but just what the hell why not. That is something I haven't replaced yet . How hard is that thing to pull, I'm assuming pretty easy like most of em? Thanks-Sampson

yeah its easy... i have these little pinch clamp things that i use so fuel doesnt leak out... got them at kratgens, they cost 2x as much as the filter and you can still get them and a filter for under $15

The fuel filter on my 84 4Runner is attached to the inside of the frame rail under the passenger seat. Im running a Weber 38/38 on my 22R. Has anyone had problems with the engine dieseling sometimes when shut off? Would a fuel cut off solenoid fix this?
