i don't have one, but i have ridden in one a few times and i'll tell ya, they're awesome. they're so nice inside, so many cool little features. you'll see if you check one out in person. you'll probably find more taco owners on ttora.com and customtacos.com

Ive only taken the 250 off road once, and yeah...you can tell this thing is made for towing lol.
But that doesnt make it a bad truck.

I just got mine yesterday and I must say I really like it. Its got plenty of power . I already took it off road a little ,theres a place near my house that is being graded and there are some pretty steep inclines . The truck performed beatifuly in the dirt. I got the double cab with trd off road package.
If you have any questions about the truck just let me know.

I dont know about your F250 - but ours does have front and rear LSD. something my toy never came with, and unless toyota has changed recently, front LSD isnt even an option. That in and of itself + the huge ground clearance of the F250 + the F250's solid front axle, Im afraid I'd have to say F250....Even though the damn things weigh 5000+ lbs, and is a Fix Or Repair Daily, and I do like taco's better...lol
But I only own a 4runner, not a taco/Xrunner.......as of right now.

And with less than 7000 miles on the clock on our '05 PowerJoke we had to bring it back for a faulty HVAC vacuum pump. The previous IHI 6.0's up until half way through '04 all seem to have serious HG issues as well...more so than the 3vze ever dreamed about if you read oilburners.net! lol
One thing I noticed is that the IHI 6.0 drives more like a gas engine than a diesel...you have to get the damn thing above 2000rpm to get the turbo to spool and then it runs like an ape that had been sodomized with a branding iron. (that means it's very fast - LOL) [Im used to a 6.5LTD chevy which has ALL of its TQ below 2500rpm.]

There will be a big difference off road. The F250 is much heavier, suspension should be much stiffer, for it's intended purpose of heavy towing/cargo, the F250 is much bigger. Both these differences are big negatives in the Ford F250 column.
With the '05 Taco you can also get the TRD electronic selectable rear locker, or a rear LSD. I would prefer the locker anyday over a LSD, or even a front/rear LSD setup.

Not a big fan of Nissan, though I do like the altima's and maxima's. I wouldnt buy a Dodge if my life depended on it, love the Ranger, but they need a 4 cyl 4x4, and the new gm compact trucks dont intrest me at all.

We have a dodge cummins 12v '98 as well. The engine is absolutely awsome, the truck makes up for the sweet engine...... And the 6.5LTD, HAHAHAHAHAHA a block with no nickle content never meant to produce more than 135hp with an idiotic optically triggered fully electronic IP...
But the 6.5 trailers minor loads (less than 6,000lbs) much better than the 6.0, UNTIL you get the 6.0's tranny to downshift, then you are left thinking, "Trailer? What trailer? There's no trailer attached to this thing!!"
