engine swap

I want to put a 1991 22re into 1994 pickup which also has a 22re motor. THe 1991 truck was 2wd and the 1994 truck is 4wd. What problems am i going to have or is it going to be a direct bolt in? Is there going to be any problems using the exsisting 1994 computer or will have to swap it out with the 1991 computer?
Anything else i am missing?

Thanks for you help,
Jay

bolt in yes, but you will most likely need to swap the harness... also not sure, but a lot of trannies are electronic, so this might need to be addressed... my truck is carbed and a manual so when i did my engien swap didnt have those issues

shouldnt be a problem... might want to check though, sometiems there were minute differences with the 4x4 and 4x2.... it should be compatible, but i dont know for sure... my engine came from a 4x2 and mine was a 4x2 so no issues with mine....

Just switch the head and block and oil pan from the 2wd '91 into the '94. The engines are exactly the same, but the oil pans, plenums, wiring and ECUs are not. Don't make more hassle then you need. The intake plenum changed in '94 to a better setup, they went to sequential multiport fuel injection sometime between '91 and '94 ('93 I think) so the injectors will be different with different plugs and require a different ECU, and I think even the clutches and flywheels will be different.
I think your '91 2wd will be a 8 13/16" flywheel/clutch setup while the '94 4wd will be a 9 1/4" setup.
Again, save yourself a bunch of grief and just swap the block and head assembly into the '94 and change the oilpan (I could be wrong, but I think the oilpan on a 4wd is different than a 2wd which may also require changing the oil pickup).
Just an opinion.
edit for clarity...whoops....switch the oil pan from the '94 onto the '91.
