IFS Steering Box SAS Question

I am doing a SAS on my 02 tacoma, and I just received a steering shaft from an 87' Toy 4Runner. One end goes into the input shaft of the steering box while the other end is splined. I am kind of worried how I will connect this steering shaft to my tacoma when I do the SAS. I know that in the vehicle that this came out of, the splines went directly into the steering column... will it fit directly into my steering column on my tacoma. I haven't really found any tacoma SAS sites that even barely go into detail about the steering besides a few pictures. If anyone could help me that'd be great. Thanks.
