I sold a toolbox on CL yesterday to a guy who owned a landscaping company. We were BSing about trucks when I looked at the bed of his F350-he had it Line-X'ed about a year ago and it looked brand new! I've seen Rhino, Herculiner, etc...and nothing has ever looked as good as this. It almost looked like he had a black plastic bedliner that was actually bonded to the sheetmetal. It was really thick, super tough, and nice and shiny black. He told me that the truck had just been washed, which is why it looked so good, but this was after a year of hauling mulch, rock, crushed stone, and throwing landscaping tools in the back. He even showed me a dent in the middle where they dropped a big boulder too hard when loading it with a backhoe-the Line-X just bent right with the metal-no stretching, cracking, or any real damage at all.

I have a 1991 Regular cab truck-the body is actually in decent shape (except for the doors) but its going to be a woods rig for hunting, firewood hauling, and wheeling. Having a coating on the body that is easily hosed off, that won't scratch up, and will look halfway decent even with trail damage would be nice. Plus I think I could probably pop some of the minor dents and clean up the fenders after I trim to fit the 35s and make it look really nice once the Line-X is sprayed. If anyone has a truck on here with a Line-X'ed body I'd love to see it and to know how much you paid.

That bad huh? The guy I talked to had his bed done for $600 (full size long bed) and that was with all of the fancy masking over the rails, etc...I figured maybe a whole Yota regular cab could be done for a grand? I'd bring it to them prepped too-no sense in wasting labor on having them mask/remove stuff when I can do it myself in an afternoon for free.

Lots of things to think about doing your entire truck. I used to work at rhino and the prep is key you will have to sand your truck almost to metal and the prep with how they spray is pretty intense for doing the whole truck. I have seen this but never up close. Lots of cuts. curves etc on the entire truck compared to the bed by itself. The masking you have to use this special tape that has a thin wire in it to cut the liner off the body lines when removed.

The prep might be really expensive but heck mayby not best you can do is get a quote!!

Having a professional bedline your truck will probably be just as much as a normal paint job. just go by 3 gallons of al's liner, pick the color you want, prep work ( sand/masking ) and go to it.

Thanks for the heads up-never heard of Al's before-I'm watching the video now-looks like good stuff! I've done Herculiner but this seems a lot better. I'm not sure if three gallons would be enough though-maybe more like five or six? Still, with the gun and five gallons you could do the whole truck for about $600.
