Hey guys, sorry if this is just a simple answer but I'm trying to change my rear shoes and cylinders and i did my passenger rear wheel; however, my driver's side drum wont come off!! the pads are still pushing against it and it wont come off. I sprayed a butt load of wd-40 on it (moove it actually) and i beat the crap out of it with a hammer but it wont budge. There are no clips or anything holding it on cause it sort of wiggles. I know that normally you would just adjust the adjuster through the whole in the back. Mine is stuck and it wont turn. The other side i had to take out the adjuster and put it in a vice just to turn it. What do i do??

ps. no the e-brake is not on!

there should be 2 threaded holes opposite of eachother on the brake drum, you can get the right size/thread bolt and it will push the drum off the axle....i cant remember the size tho..

can anyone help me find which size those are? i'm pretty sure they're stripped anyways :p

yeah mine were too, i got it off by destroying a flat head, pounding it through one of the bigger holes at an angle to get it behind the brake drum...worked tho

haha im going to take it to the shop tomorrow and get them to just try and pop it off using there fully qualified tools if i can. Just not let them touch my baby too much. If that doesnt work. I try the old bending of the screwdriver too, thanks!

There is absolutely no need to take it to a shop. I am not sure about the size of the bolts specifically, but if you take the 2 bolts off of the LSPV bracket that bolts to the axle, they are the right size. So just use those to get the drum off and then put them back when you're done. Problem solved.

Ya do what Brutal core said. depending on the size of the wear lip on the inside of the drum it may fell like or gonna destroy it. Just keep going.

I just had the same thing happen. You use M8x1.25 size bolts. Tighten each one just a little at a time.
Then you crack your drums, and go get some from the junkyard!
Have a back-up plan.

Good thing I'm changing the whole rear axle due to a crack under the fill plug; the 'new' one has drums with it.
