Bishop, a 2000 Limited 4Runner Expo build
Greetings all!
As the title states, this is the build thread for a 2000 Limited 4Runner dubbed Bishop after one of my favorite X-men We got him about a month ago for $8,000 with 136K here in Dallas. It has been nothing but love since the first turn of the key. The end goal for this ride is a expedition rig for the wife and I.
Already made some "improvements":
'01 Tundra Caliper, brake pad and rotor upgrade
Used this forum, particularly this website. Order some reman calipers from Advanced Auto, the OEM brake pads from toyotapartszone.com and the OEM Brembo rotors from carpartsdiscount.com. It was a bit of a fight but I got them swapped. The new one work like a dream!
JVC Single DIN head unit
Did some research and decided on this from Crutchfield. Main reasons being price and the ability to play both iPhone and iPad through car sound system. Has worked just as expected so far. Just made a 1,661 mile trip with the iPad playing Scrubs and Big Bang Theory through the car speakers!!
iPad Mount
Bought this to hold the iPad for road trips. It worked alright but there was to much movement with the base. So, I modified it I will post up some pics tomorrow but I used a flag pole cradle for the base instead. Eliminated most all of the movement.
There a several things on the to do list and I'll post them up later. Let me know what ya think. I know you don't have much to go on quite yet but any and all suggestions are welcomed! Thanks in advance and have a good one!
