Catalytic Converter Captive Nuts

I'm going to install a TRD exhaust on the 4Runner tomorrow.
I start PB Blasting stuff this afternoon and there is NO WAY
the intermediate pipe/cat bolts are coming out! They will
need to be cut. Once the heads are cut off I doubt the
remaining portion of the bolt is coming loose either. Has
anyone cut the captive nut off the cat and just run a bolt/nut
through??

If you have access to a torch try heating them red hot and they will back out much easier. If all else fails as long as there is enough room a standard nut and bolt will work.
