just guessing, but I have a block strapped to a pallete that I have had to manhandle, maybe 140 plus another 50 for the head, again, Im guessing but
its pretty light and I only weigh 160 or so

FWIW, I pulled my engine and weighed it using an 8000# balance. It's pretty accurate but precision isn't that great (50# increments on the scale).
Engine/Tranny together were about 435# and the tranny weighed 95# or so (bathroom scale!) so that puts the engine ~ 340#. That's w/o fluids but pretty much everything else on it. This is probably within 25# or so.
