Question for ya... I am on the other side of the State in South side of Kansas City. I am just now looking into this. I wonder what will happen when I go for inspection if my '83 has all blocked off ports and no emissions gear on the block, and a Weber carb? I do plan to keep the catalytic converter. I will be due in Spring 2015, so lots of time to get it all done. Question is...will it pass a MO motor vehicle inspection?
One could make the argument that it is impossible to find parts to fix, but I could be wrong. It would be real disappointing to find out AFTER the conversion.
I know your just trying to be a donkey. There aint any good pictures of my welds on here, except for the f-150 spring thread. And if your think those are bad welds, then I dont know what to tell ya. You ever do any weld in friend? Ya I painted with a brush, had a bunch of free paint, was concerned with pretty, its a wheeler, just gets bashed up anyways. Mostly just rust prevention anyways. Worked good though.
Hi friend. Still waitin for it. Whats so cheesy about my build. Is it the fully welded exo cage, or the bullet proof axles? Na cant be that, its gotta be my big tires and low gearing. No not that, must be my 3.5 feet of articulation, lockers, winch, what?? Its my stickers isnt it. or you just dont know WTF your talking about.
what up man? you doing anything fun for the fourth? I'm going crazy with the new to me 2wd project parked in my garage. I told the future wife i wouldn't spend any money on it until after the wedding.
The welder might be a possabillty but i get married in august so mods on the truck are going to have to be minimal until after the wedding. Skid plate for the cross member and sliders are next for the truck. I'll hit you up fr the welder when i need it thanks man. The mustang was a v6 as well that my parents picked up. They don't need anything fast so the v6 fits them well. Since i'm the family mechanic guess who gets to work on it when it needs fixing, me. So i might hit you up with some mustang questions as well. It's a high mileage car so it'll need a little extra care when it comes to maintanence.
Very cool man look forward to it. I'm not a weed guy it makes me dumb as hell but have several friends that do so it's not a problem. Beer on the other hand is a bit of a vice of mine. My parents just purchased a 04 mustang and my mom has had them since she was 16. I think 5 total. Cool pup by the way. Shepard right? I grew up with shepards but have a boxer now. Check out the pets of yota tech you'll see him. He's the brindle boxer. I gots the tools as well, cherry picker, load leveler, air tools so if you need something hit me up.
What's up rookie? Just kidding man. Hit me up if you wanna talk toyotas or go wheeling. I work over at west county mall as the bartender at mckormick and schmicks. Fell free to stop by and introduce yourself. Grab a beer and we'll talk tech. My mane's Aaron pm me if you need any help on your toys
