Thanks man. I LOVED that 4Runner...best rig I have ever owned. I do love my Tacoma though, it has taken me everywhere I've needed to go. Good luck with your 2nd gen!

I really liked the look of the Rock Gasket's I put on there about a year ago when I had to put new pistons & rings in, and had on there prior(both sets from partsdinosaur.com). I used Corteco's before them, they were good too. The Corteco's didn't blow, but my heads needed resurfaced to stop a coolant leak. Stupid mistake, I should have resurfaced them first. Speaking of which, you'd really need some smooth surfaces if you went with the MLS(yes, they're available for a 3VZE), which should be your best bet. I almost went with some, but I ain't 100% confident on the resurfacing job I had done. Stock-type hg's are more forgiving. I would say Fel-Pro is probably just as good as any too, I just haven't tried them yet.

There's a thread I read somewhere around here about someone contacting a gasket manufacturer(can't recall which) and sending them a 3VZE hg for them to base a prototype a solid copper hg on. I wish I knew what happened with that actually....
