hey, What's up man. I saw that you replies to one of my blogs and figured i would give you some info about your question regarding the AFM or air fuel meter. I have a combo of upgrades on my 22re that contribute to more power. The AFM does give me snappy throttle response and sounds cool but nothing noticable. If you find one make sure it's the right one part #'s and all. Pretty easy to install and it's a cheap junkyard upgrade. Do some searching around the forum you'll find multiple threads covering it and some pics as well with part numbers. Good luck and feel free to pm me if you have any more questions.
