Have you been down the Hiwassee River in kayaks . I'm ten minutes away from the river. I was just wondering cause me and three friends are thinking about going down it.

I feel ya on the free time. I have to find time to tear down two cars to do the timing belts and still try to get to the river to run a few rapids this year.

I live in fountain city so ive deffinitely been back behind food city, after my recent mods I can manage pretty much all the stuff back there in 2wd... lol

but Ive never been to windrock or Royal Blue, Im really wanting to get out there a good bit more this spring/summer and do a little bit of camping

budget shouldnt really be an issue, it will just be hard to find the free time

There is always Windrock down in Oliver Springs, and Royal Blue up I-75. The last time I was at Windrock, it was $17 per person, so that could get expensive on a tight budget. If you are familiar with Knoxville, the is a Food City on Millertown Pike. Drive along like you are going into the store, just don't turn into the parking lot, the pavement ends, and turns to gravel, then keeping to the right, turns to dirt/mud. Enter at your own risk. I have been back there a couple of times, and it is a local dumping ground for unwanted trash, and there is no telling what just off the path. Aside from that, there aren't too many places I know just to go spin the tires in the mud. Remember to tread lightly.

love both of it. As it would be now, I'm having to look for a new canoe because my old one just can't be repaired any more.
