Sorry; just got in from out of town. I didn't remove the lower unit as the seals are in the engine bay. I didn't do anything to the expansion valve. HTH! Paul

I just read your post. I was tring to change my expansion valve under the glove box last night and gave up. I could'nt get the cooler box off. What is the secrete to that, did you have to remove the blower motor and all that stuff? Are there seals in there that need replacing as well? I would appreciate your response to this. Jeff
