My 1992 22re has 94,000 miles. Since I bought a year ago with 87,000 miles the following has been done: valve adjustment, multiple hoses replaced, pcv valve, spark plugs, thermostat, coolant flushed, oil changes every 2000 miles with Mobil 1 10w-30 and Castrol GTX 10W-30, i like to mix them my self at 90 % mobil 1 and 10% Castrol GTX. My only concern is that there is a constant ticking noise with engine cold or hot at any rpm, which I don't know if it is related to the timing chain or not, which is a concern to many, and i don't think it was ever changed. I am not mechanic inclined other than basic oil changes, spark plugs, etc., so valve adjustment was done by a shop. But any thoughts will be appreciated regarding that ticking noise since I love my truck. Thank you all.
