Im a newbie to the site, but long time Toyota owner and must say this yotatech is a amazing thing!!
    I recently purchased a 1994 Toyota Pickup DX with the 3.0 V6 5 speed manual tranny 4x42 w/204,xxx having a few issues:
Issue 1- Upon starting the truck after its been sitting a while I get heavy white smoke out of the exhaust. The smoke usually thins out to normal after about 20 minutes of driving. Note that the truck does not have a cat converter at the moment I have one purchased and on its way. checked Toyotas records truck had new HG in 2001 after the recall, and at the moment the oil isn't milky still looks quite new. Should I have the cooling system pressure checked? or what should I be looking for? I do believe the truck has thrown a code for a lean fuel mixture. I also have a o2 sensor ordered with cat.
Issue 2- upon startup the idle can be rough or struggle. The engine startup idles at about 500 then after a couple miles is around 750. Could this be from the lean mixture?
