    Yes, you need new rear shocks the stock ones are too short and will be maxed out when the LC springs are in. I had to use 2 ratchet straps to compress the springs to get the old shocks to go on. I didn't drive it like this, just to my buddy's house to do the Pan Hard Bar. The pan hard bar keeps the rear axle from shifting from the left to right, Yes you will also need this. if not the rear axle will be shifted to the passenger side and the 4Runner will not track straight. Also it is possible (unlikely) that the drive shaft will rub on the gas tank. It's not all that hard to do, you will need coil spring compressors, you can rent them from advance auto. You will need a tall jack and jack stands as well.
