why two smaller 1ohm amps?... youd be able to go with two 2 ohm smaller amps....
if you want a good amp, the only thing i will recommend is a mtx 1501d... but that may be a little more than you are looking for. 1500 at 2ohm i ran mine at 1 ohm all the time though

im guessing you are running two 4ohm DVC subs.... so each speaker, with coils run in Parallel, you have two speakers at 2 ohm each, you put those together once again and you will need one 1ohm stable amp, but if you split it up between two amps, they will each only need to be 2ohm (X1...mono) rated

Kicker SX1250.1 - 1250rms@1ohm = $999.95 down from 1200! what a deal
MTX Audio TC6001 600rms@2ohm, if you dare you may be able to run 1000-1200@1ohm - $383 down from (450)
Orion HCCA-D2400 1200rms@1ohm - $524 down from 700
Power Acoustik A1800DB 1400rms@1ohm (yeah...) - $290 down from 500
I've given up on trying to find good deals used or on ebay for car equipment, give www.sounddomain.com or www.etronics.com a shot, I don't have any personal experience with the above amps, just what I would consider with your budget... Orion is known to be pretty high class... search froogle or such to find if these prices are competitive and read all the reviews you can find for anything you buy. always. Also, im assuming you want RMS rating, if you want 1000-1200 max, you will be even more set on finder lower prices

I have dealt with norman @ speedsound and he is a stand up guy.

Time to buy two MTX 1501D's, strap them (I can guide you - its very easy to do) and rewire your subs to a 4ohm final impeadance! Whola 3kW rms! You better get a G31 optima blue top up front and probably a nice big 130 amp tundra alt.
With that much power on tap you would have to watch the subs excursion below the tuning of 34hz. Well probably at most all frequencies further than about 1/2 octave a way from 45hz. But inside the 35-55hz range it will rip yer head off!

The BS RF birthsheet for my 30001bd states an extra 1000 watts at the 2 ohms I will run it at, So I will have 3000, and not 2000.
