Question JBL 10" Subs...

Hey guys,

I'm really ignorant on the aftermarket car audio speaker scene...

I have two JL Audio 10" subs and I have no clue what kind they are. There is a small bar code sticker on each one with a series of numbers and letters. Can I use that to identify these? I'm looking to sell them but want to provide the buyer more info. As well, subs on Ebay tend to do better when you know more about the product. Additionally, what is the foam piece that surrounds the cone and is attached to the housing? One of the subs has a small tear/hole in that foam piece. Is identification of these realistic or should I just sell them as is and see how they do. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Regards,
Joel

JL subs are usually named JL10w-1 or JL10w-6 for example. This notation is usually written on the back of the magnet. If you post some pictures I might be able to identify it just from the size of the magnet. As for your description of the foam, that should be adequate for ebay.
