care to elaborate on how a snorkel restricts air flow?

i was always told that a snorkel ( like his design) and the ARB designs don't restrict air flow, but they might not necessarily increase air flow lol.

i figure if ANYTHING there should be MAYBE a slight increase in throttle response and like.. 1hp increase LOL..because of the "cold air" type thing going on.

I do not restrict any airflow with my snorkel and knowing that I'm sucking in nice cool air from the outside(ESPECIALLY at idle on the trail) makes the mod worth it.

I have always heard that the extra bends and added tube length in the snorkel itself caused turbulence and reduced air flow.

There's ways you can help spin the air, cyclone it as it were, to help prevent turbulence.

I think I read in some other snorkel thread, that cyclone helps at idle or low speed, but it doesnt work at higher speeds cause it's not design for that...
To tell you the truth, guys, I don't even know how a cyclone is...
But very interest 2 know...

Looking good man, can't wait to see the finished product. I've always wanted a snorkel but as someone else said, would have a hard time cutting into my pristine fender haha, plus they're expensive!

I did mine for less the $50...probably even less than that. The 3" mandrel bent exhaust tubing cost $30...

AND I DIDN'T CUT UP THE FENDER.
