Saguaro Lake 5-20-07 WOo WOo!
So lets start blabbing about our trip this Sunday here.
Northern group can meet at my place (51 and cactus) or we can meet at the 101 and shea at the books and borders.
What time do you guys want to go?

Time wise: I vote for 9:30 @ your place. leave for Saguaro @ 10am. That way, it's not too early and not too late!
Very flexible to time though! I didn't want to loose much sleep in time on Sunday!

I'm good for anytime. I'll probably swing by Jeff's first and we'll meet ya up there. Say at the corner of 87 and Bush Hwy? 10-10:30?
found this today at work, thought it might work for our project.

9 - 9:30 is perfect for me!
Carl - are you planning on meeting up with us at Saturday?
I'll give ya directions to my place then, or just give me a ring Sunday morning if ya can't make it Saturday nite. Near Dobson and Warner

I am at about a 60% chance of being able to go.
I've got to finish gusseting my rear bumper and building a interior spare carrier before Moab next weekend. I think I can get it done with some evenings this week and a longish day Saturday.
I am not very familiar with the Saquaro Lake area, so it would be great to learn some more trails.

I agree with John about getting burnt out.
Sometimes I'm ready to head home around 2, and sometimes we stay out there until 10. For me, it depends on how much wheelin -vs- other activities we do.
Here are a few pics form the last time we were out there:
This is looking back at the first cove from the trail to the 2nd:
The hill across the water is VERY challenging:

Alrighty,
How about us northern folk meet at the 101 and shea. There is a books and borders just east of the 101. Its the first right turn you can make once you cross over the freeway. Plan on being there at 9:15 and we will leave sharply at 9:30 so we call all meet up at the baha gas station on the 87/beeline highway next to the casino at 10:00am.
That way if anyone is late to barnes and noble we can catch them at the gas station.
PM me and I'll give you my cell so we can contact each other if there are any problems.

I'm sure someone will start a new thread once we get together and consolidate our pics, but here are a few teasers from off my cam:
I had a GREAT time!!! We definately need to do that again! Sometime when I don't have to bail so soon and when we can spend the entire day at the lake - I'll see if I can get the boat and I'll bring the infamous floating island

Agreed, FANTASTIC!
Thanks Jeff for playing "tour guide".
We should look at doin' an overnighter somewhere up north while we can still have campfires.
anyone else feeling the effects of swallowing lake water?

It was a good day. Neat area. Can see why Jeff goes out there often.
Nice to put faces to YT names.
I posted up an idea for another group run in the future:

Maybe we will be able to bring this forgotten section of YT back to life after all.

Just kidding. I feel fine. Although you were swiming behind me at one point and I had to go.....
I'm full of the jokes today.
BIG thanks to Jeff for taking the lead and showing me an area I didn't know existed.
Here are a couple of mine:
Mad flex and bling. You can have your cake and eat it to apparently.
