Question warn winch

I just got around to cleaning up the winch that i inherited from dad. question is what type of grease should i put in the gears once i get them cleaned. thanks for the help guysb

Sorry I can't answer your question as I've never rebuilt a Warn winch, but I can tell you that if you call 1.800.543.9276 or go to their site, click on "contact us" and then click on the tech support link you can use their form to send them an email and get the answer you seek.

So did you get an answer? Is it plain old Moly grease or white lithium or some special Warn grease? My winch manual says it won't need grease in the winches lifetime.
