OK, not to beat a dead horse, but mine's not making any sense. It's a 2000 4Runner, but the axle code is A04A. This apparently is a 135mm, 3.556 ratio axle, and the last A doesn't match anything.
What is going on? I've 4x4wire, Off-Road, all that I can find. The closest I can find is at Off-Road, in the section with VIN starting 4T, which comes closest at me having a 7.5", 4.56 ratio.
Any insight on this? I've checked the sticker several times, and I'm positive the axle code is A04A, it's right next to the transmission A340F.
Thanks everyone.

I have an A02A axle code on my 2001 4Runner, which also doesn't make any sense in any of the gear tables. I went with the info on this site, using the model code. That showed 3.727, which I confirmed by the method in 4Crawler's link above.

Geez, that has a lot more information. Now I know what original size tire I had too.
Thanks!
OK...grrr...getting irritated...
VZN185L-GKPGKA 3.909
VZN185L-GKPGKA 4.100 With P265/70R16
VZN185L-GKPGKA 4.300 Option
Now how do I know which one I have? The sticker on the door is for 15" wheels, but I got the truck w/ 265/75/16's. So, I'm thinking either 4.10 or 4.30, but now how do I tell?
Thanks!

4:30 has generally been used for automatics. That's where I got mine from. 3:90 is a common 2wd ratio. I know this to be true for the the years up to 1995, things may have changed. Use the method described in the link above (by 4Crawler), marking the driveshaft and the tire and manually turning to determine the relation, to be 100% sure.
