building a short throw shifter?
I have the desire and means to make my own short throw shifter for my (completely stock) '92 4x4 pickup 3.0, but have no idea what it consists of. Can anyone help me with a description, possibly even dimensions. Thanks yall.

Other option is to cut the end of the shifter off, weld in an extension (1" = ~50% reduction) and add a similar height spacer. I make a bolt-on kit for the t-case that illustrates this:
