51" front spring install

so i had me some 48" rears off a nissan put together with some stockish 85' front leaf springs..sucked...bad..shackle angle was horrible 90* flexed horrible..looked like an S, so after MONTHS of looking for springs off an '89+ finally found some...and heres what followed

allright heres what i swapped out

this is stuffed as much as i could get em

horrible shackle angle

disassembly

spring setup, stock #1 #2 and #3rd leafs from the 51"s #4 is from the 85' front pack cut 3 1/2" shorter on both sides #5 is nissan second leaf cut 3 1/2" shorter on each side.

basic idea

burning out stupid metal sleaves so bolts would fit

heres what its like now.. maxes out my 12" shocks lol

poser

ride height is14" from tire to fender..bout 2" lower than the 48" springs ( due to better shackle angle) my shackles hit my frame now tho need to order some boomerangs and i think itll be good..and cant wait for driveshaft sheesh

..heres some shakedown pics

on the birf buster lol (washed out ALOT)

some trails lol

so what yall think?

Looks good! Is that a trail gear kit other than the springs? What're you running in the rear?

nah i mismatched my kit, bought stuff from wabfab, blueyfab, addicted and some stuff from trailgear..rear is stock 48"s with TG 6" shackles and an add a leaf...think ima swap those to some F-150's...or at least cut the add a leaf to fit..its the same size as the 2nd mil wrap...dont think they function as good as they could..lol they used to have 2 add a leafs..good god
