Newb with a 3.4L Knock
Hi guys,
New member, great site! I bought an 02 SR5 Tundra on Saturday. I love it, it drives awesome. No 4X4, but that is fine. It has one hiccup. If I warm it up and put it in gear, the thing starts to knock or thump. I had my wife put the ebrake on and put it in park (hold the brake pedal down hard, woman!) and got under it and, using a breaker bar, I could hear it in the bottom and top ends...really weird. It increases with RPM. I do not hear it when it is cold, in idle, or while driving , only while in gear. Any ideas? Dealer is going to put it in the shop tomorrow. I am just doing due diligence to make sure I am up on things.
