05 tundra A/T Oil Temp Light Flashing? Has A750F transmission
Hello I am a new member here and I just picked up an 05 DC 4x4 128000 miles and while driving it home the A/T oil temp light came on a couple of times but was flashing not solid. The ambient temperature was mild 50 degrees or so and i was doing mixed driving. The light would flash on and off maybe five times then go solid for a second or two. The funny thing is that it only went on when waiting at a light or when creeping in traffic. The engine temp was sitting a little higher than the center of the guage. I got out and the tranny cooler was much cooler than the radiator so i pressed on. It happened at a couple of other lights and when creeping in traffic. Each time it was breif and each time it would go away and stay off as long as i was travelling. The tranny shifted fine 1-5 gears and it would kick down as needed for passing.
I searched far and wide and can't find out what a flashing light means. If the temp was high the light would stay on continuously correct?
Is it possible that this is some kind of code? If the temp sensor is going bad would it throw a code and activate the check engine light? There is no check engine light on.
I have the option to give the truck back and would really like some input into the situation before I decide wether its worth keeping.
Thank You All
