Might be a new(old) Land Cruiser owner! but need buying tips

Recently my 3.0 has thrown a rod!!! so I am trying to sell my boat to get a new car or buy a new engine for the runner. Anyway a guy in bend has offered me a trade for a 1976 Landcruiser, looks pretty nice. But I want to know just about how much you guys think its worth.
What I know: Rebuilt engine, rebuild tranny(3speed), newer paint job, fairly cleen interior(no tears in seats or holes), bald 35' bfg's, hard top(not repainted with rest of body), runs great.
my boat is worth 5500-6000 dollars
What is your 2cents on this, good deal? great deal? crap deal?
Thanks!!

When I was car shopping a couple months back I saw one, a '75 I think, that was cleaned up nice that was selling for 17 grand on a car lot. So I'd say they're worth fairly alot. I've seen them on craigslist going for more all restored nicely.

I would be willing to bet one of those in rough shape could sell for at least $5000.

OMG!!!! It took a day but I talked myself into it and was ready to trade, and actually a little stoked on the deal. So this guy wanted his buddy that "is like an expert on boats" to take a look at it. This guy was stupid and didnt know anything about boats, but couldnt find anything wrong, just little things here and there for a 20 year old boat(little tears in the seats but no gaping holes). He sounded all exited on getting a boat and I was exited on getting a cruiser, and told me he was going to call me later. He never did. So I called him back this morning and he said he was going to have to pass for no aparent reason. Just kind of pissed me off because I didnt go to him for a trade, he found me and offered me the trade.
Ok im done ranting.

Anybody want to buy a Boat??? haha just kidding, but seriously
