So I've been working hard trying to get a few things buttoned up after finally getting the old girl out of my buddy's shop and back in mine, before running the Red Clay Rally in a week or so.
I finally finished up the OBA, pretty happy with how it came together, it's not supper fast but it works and I will have air when needed.
Installed a new old inverter since my the one I had gave up on me, the new one is a 750 watt and the old one was only 450 so that a step up.
I had posted before about doing a couple different things with my rear bumper. Well I simply don't have time to get it all done but I did start on part of it, I have wanted to change my recovery points for a while, the D rings just aren't the best and I wanted a bow shackle point so that's what I moved forward with.

Also finally put a coating on my storage box, still have to do the drawers and a couple other removable parts but I'm happy with how it looks

Some time back the admins here on Yotatech and the great folks at IB ask me if I would be interested in reviewing a new tire from Yokohama, of course I said absolutely I would.
In the meantime I knew I was needing a set of tires so I picked up a set of Firestone Destination M/Ts just in case the Yokohama deal didn't happen well as it turns out I'm now able to do a comparison between the two.
The first pics are the Firestones they are 315/70/17s load range E

My initial impression of the Yokohamas was WOW!!! I didn't know whether these were a M/T an A/T or what, no body knew what they looked like or even the style like I said.

They are a very aggressive M/T, with what I would consider an older style lug pattern, but a pattern I happen to really like.
I chose to go with a standard 35/12.50/17 with these, still a load range E.

I will be getting these mounted up on a set of 17 inch Tacoma wheels until I can find something a little better.

I will be posting my thoughts on these, in this thread as well as discussing them in depth on the podcast so look for lots of info.
I will post up more info as soon as I can, true height, weight etc.

Jason-it was great to get that text message from you friday night saying that the tires came through. They look great! I am anxious to hear your feedback on them!
