98 tacoma totaled rebuild

Hey guys so about a month ago I was in a low speed accident. Someone backed out of their driveway with out looking and because of the road conditions I was unable to stop. The insurance company has totaled it but is low balling me on how much they are gonna give me. I'm thinking of keeping it now seems to be my best bet. If not just to fix it up and sell it. It already had a salvaged title so that isn't a big deal. There is now frame damage also. So just some cosmetic damage.

My plans are to just replace most of the stuff with stock components but thinking about some aftermarket stuff. Probably a heavy duty front bumper. I'm gonna replace the water pump and timing belt also while I have everything apart.

Any other stuff I should do while it's all torn apart.

I've also had trouble posting pics in the past so let me know of you can see them.

So pics didn't seem to work. What's the easiest way to post then from an iPhone. Don't have a computer at home.

Try uploading your pictures to the Photobucket App, then copy and pasting the IMG code directly into your post. It should, if done right, look something like [IMG]blahblahblah[IMG]

How bad is the frame damage? That front end looks not so hot.. If it's significant, you could maybe consider buying it back, then parting out what's left. Good luck with whatever you do!

Frame damage is none existent. Currently thinkingabout keeping it. Would have to replace hood, radiator, rad support, headlights bumper, air box, and would do timing belt, water pump while I'm in there. It's a great truck and don't want it gone but it would be easiest if the insurance company would just give me what I paid 6 months ago and have a receipt for. Insurance is such a scam.

So did pics show. I can't see them.

One picture showed itself.. How many did you try posting? Also, what're you using to view the thread? If you're on the mobile App, it had trouble loading some pictures, but I'm seeing the one picture on the actual website (non mobile version). If there's no frame damage, then fix her up and call it done!
As for swapping the 3.4 over, there are tons of documents threads, as the 3.4 swap is one of the easiest Toyota engine swaps. Just check out the Engine Swap section in the forum lists.
