What years of Tacomas...
...have the e-brake on the dash like 2G 4R and cup holders in the console? Can someone shoot a decent pic and post it of the entire console? I'd prefer to see the Auto version, but the Manual is likely the same...
Does anyone see where I'm going with this???
It came to me when I saw a thread about fitting electronic gear in the center stack of a Taco and I caught a glimpse of the cupholder in the console and ebrake on the dash. I think it was BajaTaco's 98...

Can you post a pic...
of the full console? Especially interested in a detail shot of the area around the shifter. I want to determine if it's feasible to swap one of these into the 2G 4R so I can quit drenching myself with hot coffee...
I know they don't have the right interior color, but I've had really good results with plastic paint from SEM.

Went to the dealer today...
I took a look at some 2003 Tacomas with buckets and I think the rear half of the console might bolt up to the 2G 4R console front half. The front half of the Taco console won't work cause the auto shifter gear selector shroud is different from the 2G 4R (narrower). Plus the 4x lever is in a boot and not the plastic sheild like mine. I need to get some good measurements to continue the quest...
Of course, all of the switches would need to be moved...

Now all I need are some pics...
I think there were 3 different generations of center consoles for Tacomas. the 95 1/2-97, the 98-2000 and 2001-03. Is this correct? Can I get you Taco guys to snap and post some pics of these consoles? If possible, I'd like to see the whole enchilada.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yea, I think it was the pic I recently posted of my '98 dash that you looked at. I have a manual trans. with the 60/40 split bench seat and e-brake on the dash. Will this help? If so, I can take a pic tomorrow.

Need Buckets Pic
Bajataco,
Couldn't tell from the pic if you had a bench or buckets. I'm looking to retrofit the back half of the Taco center console to my 93 4R. Thank you for the offer. You must be the only Tacoma owner on this forum with a digital camera since no one else has offered.
BTW, I like your website.

I have a bench seat in my 99 Taco automatic. The cup holder is to the right of the shifter and it slides open from one cup holder to two. I'll take a picture if this is what you are talking about.
If you are talking about the one that goes from the shifter on back to the center console with 2 cup holders with little foam/rubber holders and a coin holder, thats on the 2001s and up.
I'll post pictures in a little bit.

Hmmmmmm...
Your pic has given me something else to think about. I initially thought I could only attempt swapping in the rear half of the console (between the buckets) and connect to my existing front half. Seeing your pic, I think I might be able to swap the front AND rear. Do you know if they offered the interior in the 98-00 in Blue? That would save me painting...
Thanks for the pics. I appreciate it.
BTW - Welcome to the forum.

Hey Chris, whats up man? How was Baja? You lucky dog lol. Same ol same ol here, went to the local (well, 3 hours away lol) sand dunes and it has been officially determined that I need Deavers and new shocks. I sold my Bilstein 7100s and gonna go through the bed with SAW2.5 14" bypass shocks. Got a money tree I can borrow?
As for the 2 funny looking sticks, I'll trade ya!
