TJM-15 and Custom Hitch Pics
I got my TJM-15 put on last night and snapped a few driveway shots this morning just to show the final results. I'm really happy with the way everything turned out, and I've got to thank Steve at Sonoran Steel for all his help with the bumper and also rebuilding the brackets to fit my 2" body lift. Hopefully I can do some wheeling in the next few weeks to test out the new approach angle and can get some better shots with everything nice and dirty. Also, I had my hitch rewelded to fit flush with the rear bumper, so the last two pics show how that turned out. Anyway, let me know what you guys think..

I agree that thing looks great!
I like how you did the shackle point tjm brackets. Very clean looking rig.
Have you ever pushed the front lift really hard? How did you like the Revtek?

very sexy looking rig you got there! i like it a lot. has that hitch ever made a clearance problem for you with the receiver tube being under the hitch crossmember itself? mine is the same way and ive dug it in several times

As far as the Revtek goes, I haven't had any problems with it. It has taken everything I have thrown at it just fine, but that may also be due to the Old Man Emu shocks that I installed with the Revtek spacers which really improved the ride quality on and off road.

The hitch does dig into the ground if I'm going up a steep incline, but its hasn't ever gotten caught or really been a big problem. I may be wrong here, but from what I understand the Toyota hitches with the reciever tube under the crossmember are more "heavy duty" and came on the 3rd gens with the full towing package.

I don't have any pics of my 4runner with the hitch gap, it looked so awful I took the hitch off a day after installing my body lift. Body lift gaps don't bother some people, but I can't stand them and they can usually be fixed with a little time and $$$

Its the stock skid plate, I had painted it silver at one point to make it stand out, but I turned it black again a few weeks ago with some spray paint. I have found that Rustoleum Satin Black gives a really nice finish that really resembles powder coat, thats what I painted my sliders with also.
