Regearing for 31" tires with a 22re
Hi,
New to the forum, had a few questions. I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I have a '95 4x4 with a 22re 4cyl,not the 95.5 Tacoma. I running 31" BFG's and I was wonding if anyone had regeared their truck and had any information to offer me about it. Eventually I would like to lift the truck and run 32's or 33's so I would like to gear it down to a level where I could run the 32's without being so doggy on hills and around town. I've seen the kits in Northwest but I don't have much of an idea on how to do it and how much it costs. I would appreciate any information anyone has to offer. Anyone have any other mods tothe 22re to help me make it up the hills with a little more pep.
Thanks
Dan

first i have a question for you. how's your power with the 31's? cause i am putting them on my truck sooner or later. do they rub on or off road (flexed)?
i remember a thread about this.. ill see if i can find it.. but with 32's you would want about 4.56 gears. 33's you might want to go bigger. if you really want a lot of power go to like 5.10... but if its not really important just got iwth 4.56 gears. and throw in lockers while your at it!!!!
i cuoldnt find the thread, but here is a good site. its kind of like the calculators at BFGoodrich.com (is that it?) but a little better, some of those had some problems.
