Rear ABS Sensors
Installing a new rear axle assembly and was wondering about the rear ABS Sensors on a 4Runner. Is there any certain way they are supposed to come out, they have a bolt in them that i have taken out but i can't seem to pry them out after the bolt is removed. I don't want to damage them trying to pry them out.
Any wise words from anyone?
If I can't get them out i might just cut the wire and splice in the extra set that came with my axle.

Yeah, they get really stuck in there. The sensor body is round, so you can hit the spot where the bolt goes in to spin it a little bit, just to break it loose, then you have to press it out. I used a socket and a big C clamp to press mine out. It wasn't easy, but it eventually worked.
I wouldn't cut the wires. It can be pressed out with about $15 worth of tools you probably already have.

The best thing might be to use a socket just under the size of the ABS body on the inside, then use a really big one on the outside (like a 36mm or similar) that will fit around the bask side of the sensor. I didn't have a 36mm at the time I did mine, but after swapping my steering rack bushings, I do.
How far along the swap are you?
