Lug Nuts for FZJ-80 Wheels
Does anyone know what type of lug nuts work on FZJ-80 wheels, i don't want to get them from toyota, plus i'm looking for black ones. I check rockauto.com and they list some lug nuts by Dorman Part# 611134. hoping this will work. Not sure on how lug nuts work, thought lug nut were just lug nuts, i guess not. Any owner of FZJ-80 wheel, what type of lugs are you using.
Thanks mike

im currently still running my oem nuts from my 98 LTD. i think you would have the same ones...for the oem 16" tri-split spoke.
which year did you get the 80 wheels from? there was a slight change somewhere along the line (i think 94-95?) i think the older wheels had a bevelled (insert) face to it where the tapered part of the acorn nut sat. like this:
and there is a flat faced design. the shaft of my runner nuts (k that doesnt sound right ) actually went through the hole, and the washers on the nut sat flat on the wheel itself:
i ended up getting some mismatched ones from the salvage yard i got them from. i ordered 2 sets and i guess they didnt know about the difference. these pics are from the junky 2nd set which im gonna get refinished. ive been running my oem nuts since i put em on, and havent had any problems or issues regarding them coming loose, and vibrations etc. . until i do, i wont worry about running different wheels. bob may know which nuts are the exact ones since he recently put his on and probably got new nutsax for em...
so if youve got the flat ones without the black bevelled insert, you should be able to use the oem ones (or same type in black if you can find em)

I bought black wheel locks for $20/set. Can't remember the name but had to buy two sets as the set only had 16 lugs. Here's a pic:

double down i have the flat kind, it's a 95 wheel, and i was talking to the guys at ih8mud.com and they were able to help me out quite a bit, Hopefully i'll be getting a set of lug nuts from a guy there. its a shank type w/ built in washer lug nut that i need. Took me a while to figure that out. but soon, I will mount my wheels
