if it says 300 rms thats the amount of power it can handle all day. Less is not bad, it really depends on enclosure and enclosure size. Those two variable are dependent on whether a sub will reach its full potential with less power.
Example I just ordered a 10" brahma 1600 rms. But in my particular enclsure it will only need 800 watts to reach its max potential. If i gave it 1600 watts would it hurt it, most like not.
If you really worried call up audiobahn they will tell you right over the phone, but i dont see it being a problem. It should work perfectly. If you were to purchase i dual 4 ohm voice coil sub you would be able to wire your amp to 2 ohm and get 250 watts. Just somethign to think about. CHris

Thanks to everybody who helped me out with some tough decision making.
I was at a local car audio place today to see what they had, not expecting to find anything. Much to my surprise, I left with a JL Audio 10W0 sub and a custom box. I paid $150 for everything, the sub being $100 and the box being $45. I couldn't pass up the deal on that box because he only had one left. I figured with my savings on the box, I'd go ahead and spoil myself with the sub. Now all I need is my RF 300X amp to power it. Can't wait... and I'll be sure to post pics of the whole new system.
