It's really mild, we don't get much of anything here in winter. But we do get one or two really good ice storms, luckily they don't have to salt the roads just sand them. And it will "snow" once in a blue moon. 
Spring time is the scary part of the year, lots of crazy ass hail storms and tornados.
I bet Ontario has some wicked cold weather!!

My bed is also Line-X'd...WAY BETTER then Rhino IMO. I did have to put some Herculiner on the bottom of the bed though...I don't really know how to explain where. It's the part of the bed where, when the tailgate is down, I got wood chips and the like stuck in the gap between the bed and the tailgate. About half of that area was line-x'd and I could have gotten the rest done for free but I figured I'd save myself the trip and knock it out with the Herculiner. I had to take my tailgate off to do that properly as well. It won't scratch up any more though!

I really like what I've read about Line-X, and there is a installer not too far away from me. I know exactly what part of the bed you are talking about, thanks for mentioning that. I will make sure they spray Line-X on that area, and over the edge of the bed rail. I'm a little worried about taking the plastic bed cover out, I hope there isn't any rust under there!

When I took my plastic liner out...which was in there for years due to a previous owner....there was no rust, just dirt and scratches everywhere. You'd be well off to take that liner out a couple days before you go and get it lined and clean the bed very well. That will make the process faster as the Line-X guys won't have to do that. They sandblast the bed to prep it so I'm sure they will get any rust off the surface before they apply the Line-X.
How much do you think the Line-X weighs? I'm not sure how thick they apply it, but I notice my truck always drives better with some weight in the bed.

Yep that's exactly my situation, the previous owner had installed the plastic liner. That's good to know you didn't have any rust under there. Also, great suggestion to take it out a couple days before and clean it really well.
How much do you think the Line-X weighs? I'm not sure how thick they apply it, but I notice my truck always drives better with some weight in the bed.

Between the Line-X and my Leer camper shell the ride of my truck is MUCH better though. The shell is around 150 pounds as well I'm guessing?

I was hoping it would weigh enough to settle the back end a little, and it sounds like it does. With the camper top your truck probably rides like a plush 4Runner!

1 mil = 1/8 to 1/4 inch? is a mil an exact measurement? 1 mil=.001"? seems strange I have only heard mills in reference to military compasses(6400 mills in 360 degrees).

Sorry, I was answering how thick the bed was, or 100 mil. Yes, a mil is an exact and common measurement.
