Just drove 50 miles and re-checked the level, it's right at the hot mark and no leaks. Glad I finally had the time to do this.
You are suppose to start and stop the engine to slow down the out flow, that way you don't run the tranny dry.

yeah, I missed that when I quickly read through the how-to. I guess we'll find out if it gives me any problems. At least there's no load on the pump at idle, just had to spin dry for a few moments. Not good, I know, but I'm sure it's pretty robust.
