Who would have thought it would have taken this long to provide decent photo's (I hope) of the "tab" in question. Just freed up mine by soaking it in WD-40. Not as good as new, but functional and free. Yellow pointer aimed at tab. ...again; yellow pointer aimed at tab. Yellow pointer identifying location of tab with respect to installed latch position.
