He quoted me $100 and said that the paint was in worse shape than he thought and claybared the whole truck and it didn't alter the price. I think if a car is only a few years old and has been waxed regularly then I don't think a claybar would be a necassary. Mone has over 105k and was purchased in Cali back in late '98 so it's had some saltwater air time and road miles and I'm very impressed with the job.

Yeah I'm not sure the previous owner of this car really took good care of the paint so I'm pretty sure its going to need a good claying. But now I'm seriously looking at buying the whole Porter Cable/Griots Garage package so I can do it all myself.
Sounds like the body shop you took your car did a great job, congrats.
