some pics from the little Sahara Sand Dunes "utah"
This is from my trip over memorial day weekend.... oh and ps i got my lights mounted FINALLY! there are only two up top now, the middle one is a marine speaker that my dad used to have on his blazer. i was thinking of wiring it up to a P.A.
Got my 4banger to the top of little Sahara.. only took all day to find a route! lol
I started with one flag but decided to start collecting all of the broken ones i found in the sand, a few were again lost on some whoops along the way though.
and yup i went though most of those dunes in the back ground! lol total 2 day trip i did 94 miles in the sand without getting stuck once! I sure love my truck

ac problems
so my AC decided to stop working the other day, and its summer time! I got to get it fixed asap! so started tearing into it last night found that ther was power going to the blower motor when i turned it on so i could only assume it was the blower motor... so i tore it out.
i tried blowing it out with compressed air and plugging it back in unmounted. it would spin, but just barely. so i decided to tear it apart to see what was wrong with the motor. i cleaned it with electrical contact cleaner as i went. it was filthy, all of the dirt on the ground was from the motor!
got it apart and........ brushes are toast!! haha one is missing compleatly and the motor has been running off of the spring that goes behind the one brush, it even ate it down to about half the original size.
i found a new blower motor at o'reilys for $35, but im going to try and find new brushes at this electrical supply store tonight. maybe i can fix it for just a few dollors and some know how. trick will be to find a similar size brush with the wires coming out of it.

found a place that had quite a selection of bruches in theyre show room, but they were going to be closed by the time i got of work so i ran over theyre on my lunch break. and after i spent an entire dollor.........yup just a buck
NEW BRUSHES!!!! They may be a little big but if so i will just grind/file them down a bit to fit. then all i have to do is solder them on and reassemble. $1 is way better than $35! GO KNOWLEDGE hahaha

got to workin on the truck again last night. My new brushes ended up being way to big, so i had to file them down.
the file took a while to do it, but i didnt have a bench grinder available. once they were the right size i whipped out the soldering iron
then i reassembled it and did a quick test run. i used a matching pair of pen springs to replace the broken one.
VICTORY IS MINE!!!!
