Not sure how much you have looked into the 2RZ swap, I looked into it a while back as I found a 2RZ for real cheap and found that there was no documented finished swaps into a IFS mainly because there is no bolt up pan that will work.
The 22re pan has to be cut and stretched and welded onto the flange of the 2RZ pan, there is a thread on Marlin's board about it, the guy never finished the thread but it looked like a ton of work to me.
I contacted a local shop about building a pan for me and they quoted me $500, I decided that was to much when I am not planning on keeping IFS forever.
Just a heads up, its a lot of work to fit it into an IFS truck.

Looking good cant wait to see it with the lift and 35's. what made you go with 35 12.50's instead of 33 10.50's?

Yea there isn't much info out there on this swap. I mean if thats what I have to do with the oil pan then I can possibly get my neighbor to do it. He has taught welding at a tech school for quite awhile. James Woods do you know exactly why the oil pan won't work? I tried searching on Marlin and couldn't get the post. I know I say this now, but the thought has already crossed my mind, I don't mind my IFS at all and for what I'm going to be doing I don't really need a SA. If I do go to a SA its going to be in another truck. The reason I went with the 35's is because with the 4" lift I will have room for them and I'm not going to be daily driving on them. I'm still trying to save some gas mileage . Just throw them on when I decide to go down to NC to surf and hit some trails down off of HW12. And I got all of the items in a package deal for a good price Tomorrow I'm going to finish getting some surface rust off the brackets and then going to paint them with some black semi-gloss summit racing undercoating. Will have pics of finished products sometime tomorrow night.

With the front lift, the diff drop, some cuting...Maybe the oil pan could fit at that time.

I talked to my neighbor with an 85 2WD Pickup and he said that we could take a look at oil pans and he was sure that we could work something out. Sorry for the cell phone pictures but thats all I had at the time. I want to say that I have gotten my hands on a Superlift. I looked up several different kits and the X plates are all similar but it looks like the Superlift X plate. I have searched that part# and couldn't get a hit.

so I think that I'm going to do a Zuk mod along with my AAL and not redo my leafs. I figure that I can get better lift with the Zuk and take some stress away from the leafs as well

went to pickNpull today and got a set of coil springs from a grand cherokee with a V8

im going to try to get the lift on this up coming weekend. gotta talk to some friends to see if they can help me. so as far as the 2rz is coming, i think that im just going to sell it. my cousin has a sbc 350 swapped YJ and the guy who did his swap has another 350 that he was building for someone and they flaked. so instead of a 140 hp 2rz go with a 250-300 hp sbc 350. kinda wanna go with a fuel injected engine and get decent gas mileage. its kinda hard to spend the same amount of money and only get half of the hp. my dad is going to go half on me with alot of the items i need for the swap

haha yea got a lot of stuff trying to go on. i think that beefing up the drivetrain would be a good idea but i granny drive most of the time anyway im def not going to be spinning tires and whylin out. i don't like to attract unwanted attention doing something stupid. i thought i heard of people using the drivetrain from blazers equipped with the 4.3? if its not that then what would you suggest?

its have been quite a while since I have done any building up of my yota. sad i know I have just had more important things goin on with family, work, and school and its hard to take my truck off the road or do anything other than regular maintenance. my 22RE has been.... well its keeping her moving. i ended up getting a TBI 4.3L that came with an extra 4 barrel carbureted intake. ive been saving money and I plan on ordering the bellhousing adapter, motor mounts, and conversion headers from AA. going to get the LC slave cylinder from advanced or auto zone and got a buddy with a used 153t flywheel in good condition. im going to go carb'd for the simplicity. goin to use a 4 barrel quadrajet im thinking in the range of 450-600cfm. here pretty soon im gonna send the block and heads to be machined. get it bored .030 and decked with the heads rebuilt. once i get my parts and block ready then it will be time to drop the 22RE and hopefully drive my grandpas 2010 silverado with the newer 4.3 for a month or so

so my buddy and i replaced the idler and pitman arm today. i got a moog replacement idler arm and a moog replacement pitman arm for like 45 bucks with the help of my buddy at advanced when both should have cost me like 140. i was gonna rebuild my idler arm but when i got both parts for like a 1/3 of what it should cost me decided to go with all new stuff. got both replaced in like 2 hours and the old idler and pitman were shottttt. i hopefully should pass inspection at the end of the month before the 4.3 goes in.

so its been a fix one thing and twice and many things go wrong kind of week. my running lights in the front went out on me, clutch master cylinder is leaking on the driver side carpet and making squeaking noise when clutch is pressed in so i need to replace that, and the blower motor resistor went out. all of the other lights on my truck work so it would have to be either a fuse, a relay, or a frayed wire for both of them to go out at the same time correct? i checked the fuses and all seemed to be fine. ive been dealing with only having med high and high on the fan for awhile but now i only have high. got a couple days worth of work ahead of me

well got my running lights fixed for my inspection. truck has passed inspection for 13 years and about 90,000 miles with these tires. i purchased a new master cylinder and im gonna wait it out and keep adding fluid for the next couple days while i gather parts and wait for my 4.3 to get back from the machine shop. headed to get my flywheel and hopefully a 4 barrel carb and maybe some other parts tomorrow morning since its my day off. and since i put the new idler and pittman arm my driver side tie rod end has come loose. prob gonna grab that tomorrow and they might have my FJ40 slave cylinder

haha thanks chef! im not that mechanically inclined but i know just enough n work hard and i am lucky to have some good friends who work at auto part stores and who can wrench to get what i need done. i've been biting the bullet but i just took out 1500 out the bank 600 of which is going towards motor work and the rest is going towards swap parts and miscellaneous things that i know i will need cuz my parts list keeps getting bigger
