I was also thinking that about the ARB bumper. plus it looks heavy as hell. I don't need any more weight then i need on my truck either.
I prefer the look of the tube bumpers like the addicted off road "new style" bumper.
Id like to make one myself but I don't know a thing about welding and I don't know anyone who knows how to make bumpers either so unfortunately ill probably have to buy one.
But till then I'll just stick to my current one.
Btw just checked out those badlands bumpers they look pretty sick. But the price is still kinda high. I might go for the addicted off road bumper. I really like the way it looks. Here's an example of the one I like on another Yotatech users 4runner:

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted anything yet. I haven't had my truck so there hasnt been anything to work on at all yet.
Guess I missunderstood my mechanic. The truck wasn't gonna be ready by whenever I said it I would. That's what I get for being beaner and having crappy Spanish skills lol. So we didn't understand eachother too well. He meant to tell me that the heads would be ready for pick up soon not the truck. Ha ha!
So anyway, I finally got my heads back from the machine shop and here is a few picture updates for you.

Well i got bad news. the mechanic called and told me that due to the previous owner they must had ran the truck while overheating causing my crank to expand and thus resulting in it getting a scratch. Not only that but 2 of my pistons were also messed up. so the crank is at the same machine shop that did my heads getting repaired. and looks like im gonna need to buy 2 new pistons or if my old ones are somehow reuseable then ill use those too.
Glad this mechanic is straight forward and honest. Hard to come by people like that now days

OOOOOOOOOOOOH, NICE!(on the heads) lol. Sorry bout the Crank,man, .... Hope you get it done, bottom end work as well, as cheaply and quickly as possible!
BTW, that black runner is SICK! Exactly the look, all around, that I'm EVENTUALLY going for. (different cage on top). Keep up the great work, man!

Nice thread you have here... You did a great job w the carpet. I bet that was nasty!
If you ever wanna get rid of that light bar thingy let me know!

javendan - Thanks for the compliment. I'm pretty proud of the job i did myself too lol. and dude, u have no Idea how dirty that carpet was. I tried describing it in words as best I could but yea it was hella nasty.
And yea ill hit u up when ever I plan to sell it. After all I am gonna upgrade eventually to the AddictedOffRoad bumper further down the line.

Thanks dude, I think the interior work was probably the cheapest and easiest type of upgrade I could have possibly done. From here on out the real fun begins and the more expensive stuff comes in. Excited yet dreadinf the toll itll take on my wallet.

Just got done going thru yur thread. Yo got it coming along nicely and the carpet turned out great. You may have gotten me in trouble with the statewidelist.com Glad you mentioned it. Truck is looking better.

Lol Chef! Well when I get my truck back with the motor fixed its still gonna look like a "Hey Sup" kind of truck ha ha. As far as I know. I am missing a few things to be able to do my sas. I need 12" or 14" shocks for both the front and rear. I want to have the 4.88 gears and front and rear lockers ready for when I do Do the SAS ill already have that in hand waiting. Then ill need a few lines and some other stuff i dont know of to complete the SAS and the 4" lift I'm doing along with it. Once all that major 4x4 components are done with I can continue with the sick lookin cosmetic stuff such as bumpers tire carrier and sliders. Gotta admit this will be a beauty when I'm done with that long list of stuff.

SWEET! I hear ya, man! I ALMOST went this route when I was helping a dude slap his back together(he was gonna help me as gratitude and he's a desert racer/sponsored).... But good thing I didn't, cuz he's just too busy and my schedule and fundage just doesn't have "SAS" in the cards.... Besides, the stuff I LIKE, (flying 70mph through the Sierra high desert, dunes, etc.).......just doesn't NEED SAS so much, ya know? In fact, i've had both and found I could REALLY get speed up more with the IFS/while keeping my kidneys out of my throat! lol. But I TOTALLY get the SAS fever... and WOULD love to do it to a DONOR?

When I really think about it.... I would NOT have a hard time stomaching mounting one of these through my rigs body....
1. It would have to have support from the rear, welded in, ORRRRRR, it could be mounted to a plate welded to the aftermarket bumper, FAIRLY EASILY, I would imagine. Just needs wiring for the license plate mount and 'tire carrier open' or whatever warning it seems to have?
2. It would be CHEAP AS HECK! lol.
3. Did I mention it would be CHEAP AS HECK? HAHAHAH. And, I would imagine you could mount/fab up some 'support' and even upgrade the bushings, etc(like we do with our Idler arms?).

Well I'm planning on putting some 33/12.5/r15 Sport King tires on my truck once the SAS and lift is done. I actually have the tires already. And possibly just maybe not set on this yet but maybe in the future have some 35's cuz i love a beefy truck look with some nasty ol meats on them. But as of now i only plan to run 33/12.5/15 tires. So i need sometging heavy duty enough to hold them up.
