ohoktimmyg's 1993 4Runner Build-Up Thread

I bought a parts truck today with a 4" lift on it. i plan on stripping it all down and putting the lift on my truck.

thoughts:
4" suspension
3"body
35x12.5s m/t bfgs?
.487s front and back
add actuator removal solid piece replacement
manual hub conversion
flat black
steering stabilizer
wheel spacers

so far total investment
truck 500$
clutch 150$
fuel pump situation 400$
parts truck 500$

i will upload pics soon and as i go

So i have been pretty lazy with uploading pictures and stuff.

A picture of my truck when i got it:

A picture of my vacuum actuator attempted rig/fix:

Really the only photos of me disassembling the parts truck:

A photo of the tailgate replacement from the parts truck (flat black for now) :

A photo of the tailgate as a workbench (LOL) :

And a photo of the 15x10 rims before, after, mounted the 33x12.5s and installed :

I ordered new poly bushings, and hopefully ill be getting into the lift soon!
I need only a few more things. I decided to mount the 33s tonight when I drove the truck in the snow and the 28s were a joke! It handles and more importantly STOPS much better!! 4wd is still not working, so hopefully the new front end components solve that issue.

you did not use the same bolts from the old body kit did you? I would have kept the blocks but it is a gamble using the same bolts, too scary for me. Other than that, awesome build man. I am stuck in an open carport of our apartment, house with a garage is still a couple of months out, so i get to stare at my truck and do minor interior work. Lame. Keep the pics coming!

Its a suspension lift.. and I used whatever bolts I had from the parts truck, and the truck I was working on. It was a huge pain in the butt to get some of the bushing bolts out and i did end up cutting up a bunch of it to get it apart..

But in the end it all came out pretty good.

I forget how to upload pics!
