Jaino240 1989 Truck Build

This is my first build thread, so be patient. lol



Welding on my hangers






Got my rear locker installed too
Fitting the springs onto the truck
Decided to try out the double shackle setup

what prevents the double shackle from flipping the opposite direction. I have always wondered that. Looks good though.

Well I welded a little piece of metal across the top of the lower shackle, so when the top shackle is at full droop that piece of metal I have welded will keep it from inverting. Havent even been able to drop the second shackle down yet. My tires hits my fender before the other tires fully drops.

Gotta do some cutting. lol

Yes I will post more pics of it "flexing" lol

Waiting for my Bilsteins to come in and I gotta get some shims.

Yeah, when I was first doing my research, I didnt really get any good info on the setup so I decided to do it myself. If I dont like it, then I can always switch to a single shackle. Simple as that. lol

I used chevy 63" springs -yotaman85

are they both stock shackels or aftermarket? if so what size?

Well I bought the top shackle from Sky's offroad design and the lower shackle is a lowering shackle for a Chevy truck. Got the lowering shackle from Autozone fo 30 dollars. Good price if you ask me. lol

For the top shackle, most people use a Jeep lift shackle, but I chose to use the one from Sky because I already had it. lol I just used a spacer to make it even
