Sick! We have 4bt's in our freighliner step vans at work. They have some get up and go when they are running right. They also vibrate like a mofo! That engine must not be balanced very well. Make sure you put some GOOD rubber motor mounts in that.

So, Colt brought up the truck today to start the tube work. We started with the sliders. I built them out of 2x3" .188 wall with some 1.75" tubing. The legs are 2x2" .250 wall.

We went heavy with them since the entire cage and exo will be tied to these. The frame was also plated to handle the added stress.

The rig will be a walk-thru cab, so we also cut out the back of the cab to make room for a rear seat. The flat bed and everything else will be worked around it.

The seats are Race Trim suspension seats. The rear one is designed for kids given the size and width. We do still have more to cut out of the cab in the back, but will get to that in the morning.

So, we finished out some more tube work. The body of the bed is done, but we need to add a lot more triangulation to it before its done. Still have the front exo to do as well. But, for the most part the general rear chassis design is there.

That one is mine. Its getting an SOA, TBI-350/700R4/NP205, and a set of PRP Daily driver seats.

I also have two more 4runners in the shop. One is my old light blue one in for lockers and bumper reinforcement.

The other is getting a clutch, tranny, dual cases sliders and front and rear bumpers.

Very cool, wish I could find an FJ60/62 around here...let alone a clean one.

why not just build a buggy.

gametom- because building a yota settin on 44s with a 4BT cummins i scooler than building a buggy with a cummins on 44s. how could you not liek what this guy is doin? no it dont have a 22re under the hood, but its sweet. i think i sense some jealousy before us.

I do want to know what is still toyota on this tho axels and or t case, because i didn't think they take that kinda torque
