Smile Tony Battista's 1985 4Runner Build-Up Thread

Here are some pics of what i have done so far and it has come a long way but i still have alot of work to do.

Replacing break pads, rebuilding calipers, regressing bearings and hub assembly



Cone washers are hard to get off!!!




Center Line Rims with 35x12.50 tires


Rotors


Newly rebuilt calipers


Hub parts


Right front strut


Repainted hub locks


Put a new stock carburetor on (needs adjustment)




Undercarriage before & after

SR5 Interior


Mossy Oak seat covers


Needs new B pillar covers










Back Seat Climate Control


Truck Bed


Roll Bar


Wiring for heavy bass system


Pioneer Stereo

How big is your SL lift? Obviously you put 35's on. My ProComp is 4" and I'm planning on going 33's (295/75 16). Recently, I've found a deal on 35" Boggers and now am torn between the 2 tire sizes.

3 inch suspension lift in front and 3inch blocks in rear

You know anywhere i can get one????
Im also looking for the turbo digital gauge cluster if you can help me with that.

If you are referring to the cone washers that are in the hub assymbly that hold the locking hub tightly in place, they are not that difficult to remove.

Just loosen the nuts that hold the hub until they are just beyond the end of the studs, then tap them with a hammer and the cone washers will "pop" out of the taper for easy removal.

You would be better off with 3'' springs in the back instead of those 3'' blocks, 3'' blocks cause to much axle wrap.
