Little update. I got the head unit, antenna, and two front speakers installed at a local shop. I finally have some sound other than the truck itself. I also have a little pile of parts to install. Extended brakes lines, marlin tansfer rear out put seal, marlin rear tranny out put seal, TG twin stick and my front drive shaft I had rebuilt cause the CV joint bearing failed.

I got the transfer case out last night. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Cleaned it up with some brake cleaner and installed the TG twin stick, marlin trans. rear out put seal, marlin tranny rear out put seal, marlin heavy duty shifter spring and some low pro drain/fill pugs. The little spring really makes a difference and the twin stick was really easy to install following TG's directions they give you.
I also ordered some more stuff from TG and MC cause I wanted to do it all at once. A nother shift spring for the other shifter (didn't know I needed 2), detent bolts, more low pro drain plugs(for tranny and diffs), tranny shifter socket and some TG out put flanges. The reason I got the flanges is because the old ones had grooves similar to the crank pulley I just got finished repairing. Take a look. I may or may not need them but it's to late now.

Thanks. For right now just the two speakers are hooked up. I had the shop run the speaker wires for the rear and I will hook them up when I make the rear panels. I think i'm going to go with 1qty 6" sub but the guy at the audio shop told me it's a waste of money and go with a 10 or 12. I have no idea if he was just trying to sell me something or not. All i'm looking for is something similar in sound to my 07 F150.

Rich, thanks for the post. I still need to do my twin sticks. I am a little confused on the little springs you are talking about. Are they for the twin sticks, or the trans shifter? Also good idea on the new flange, definitely cheap insurance. Sounds like I need to place a few more orders before I start on the twin sticks.

Tinman, They are for the twin stick (you need two now, one for each stick) If you look at the instructions for the twin stick on TG website or if you have yours you should see that you have to remove the detent bolt, spring and ball. That is the spring that I replaced. "Heavy Duty Shift Spring"

It gives you a much firmer feel. I would also go ahead and get the bolts. Mine got messed up while trying to take them out.

So from Marlin you will have ordered
Trans output seal
2 - heavy duty shift springs
2- detent balls
2 - detent bolts
and from TG you ordered
1 transfer case output flange

I know marlin sells the detent springs and balls but I didn't see a bolt. That's why I got it from TG. I wouldn't worry about the ball unless you think you might lose one. O ya if you don't have the magnet that they show in the directions just tip the case over to get roll pin and interlock pin. Just curious who do you prefer to buy from? I like marlins quality but TG is more responsive.

I looked at it today and it's going to be a tight fit it looks like. I also have a 3" BL on the truck. I'm gong to knock it down to 2" shortly that may help I don't know.

Right on, I did my output seals and dust seals last year but will most likely do them again when I tear the the T case apart. As I will be doing the single case 4.7:1.
I did not see the detent bolts on TG's web site I will look again though.
My rig will be almost all TG. Mainly because they are a little cheaper. More vendors carry their stuff. Their customer service has been pretty good.

Only big speakers can deliver low frequencies properly. No substitution for displacement. With that said if you want deep 'brown note' bass get a big pre built sub and box. If you just need a little low end get something that fits your budget and truck. I have no idea what your f150 sounds like, but I'm betting for a few bucks you could have a decent system. Add a couple rear speakers behind the front seats in the panels. Get some 6.5s or 6x9s it will really add some warmth to the sound, ANY 3.5"-4" car audio speaker will produce.
So the audio guy isn't really saying anything wrong.
I now return you to your previously scheduled program.
