Well a little update. I managed to pick up a second hand bonnet and both front doors for $20 each so I'm pretty happy about that. The bonnet is far better then my current one and only has some small dents and a patch of rust that I've now fixed. The doors will pretty much just be spares or I might fix them up and sell them, I'm not sure yet.
I'm on holidays for summer now so I'll be getting some more progress. The plan for the next few weeks is to order some new carpet, get the tray and chassis tied and painted, some new spotlights and over Christmas the long awaited respray!
I was wondering if there is any good websites for trying to find parts for my modal mainly I'm after a chrome grill and headlight surrounds which don't exist in Australia. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Well no updates on the hilux, she's up for sale at the moment with a little bit of interest but no serious buyers.
In the meantime, I have bought a 1998 HZJ75 Landcruiser Ute.
Pretty basic Specs
1HZ Diesel
Power Steering
Air-Con
2 inch lift
31" A/T's
Custom Rollbar
Bullbar
Dual Tanks
Spotlights
Upgraded Headlights
Future plans for this are some 285/75/r16 M/T's and a UHF. It's a bit of a change from the hilux but it's a good change.

Well, I'm asking a whole $2500 for the Hilux, believe it or not, an unpainted 82 Hilux doesn't really go for too much over here even with no rust and good mechanics. I might have to work on shipping it over to the US.
As for the Landcruiser, they are very common in Australia, mainly as farm rigs and mine trucks but they're great for towing and are great trucks

Awesome rig bud. Love to have one of those double cabs for hunting trips. Always thought those land cruisers were custom conversion, like the j**p brutes.

To be honest even if it was $8000 (and I had the money), I'd still consider it worth it. Anyone know if any of these were sent to Canada? Might be a tad easier then.
