1983 Toyota Pickup SR5
Just purchased my first project, not new to Toyota we currently own a 4runner and I just sold my tundra. My goal is to make it a solid reliable daily driver with mild offroad capabilities. Below is ground zero, I know I have my work cut out but look forward to learning and enjoying this project.

Thanks, I paid $2000, there was one other one in the area that was significantly cheaper but this one was a one owner and he had receipts and records for all services and parts. First thing on the to do list is a tune up and to start on the frame

Been able to get the truck drivable. Fixed a cooling issue, busted lower radiator hose. Now I have a fuel leak as seen in the picture above. I went ahead and ordered a new fuel pump and intake gasket. Hopefully that does the trick, as you can see from the pic above, I put some sealant on The fuel pump to try and minimize the leak until I'm able to swap the fuel pump. I am really going to ramp things up for the winter, when I receive my other truck which is in route from Germany I won't have to rely on this truck as my daily driver

I swear I've seen that exact same truck in town here, same stripes, same colour wheels, same rust on the b-pillars. You wouldn't happen to have a clone hiding somewhere in California, would you?

Truck wasn't charging today, had to get a push start. Advance said my battery was bad, so I replaced. Talked to a friend, and I told him the issue he said to check the voltage regulator, I replace tha and it resolved the issue. Can't wait till the winter so I can start on the frame and underbody

Head gasket and fuel pump today, then starting on the frame. Was looking for a tailgate, found this guy that just decided to part his truck out and said he could hook me up with tailgate but then offered his complete 81 with 2 engines for $400. I really want it but my wife says I have too many projects
